Er, Cr,Yb phosphate glass is the raw material for making  the  solid gain medium crystal for flashlamp pumped lasers, the erbium-doped concentration is 0.130.25×1020cm-³, and the light output energy is from millijoule to joule level.  Er3+, Yb3+ and Cr3+ co-doped phosphate glass laser provides a useful coherent source in the spectral range near 1.5 μm, which is relatively safe for the human eye and is convenient in many applications, such as Lidar and Rangefinder, Fiber-optic communication and Aesthetics Lasers (or Cosmetic lasers). In spite of the considerable progress in the development of InGaAs laser diode pump sources, Xenon flashlamp will continue to be used as pump sources of Er:Glass lasers because of their high reliability and low cost, and also the simplicity of design of such systems. Since about half the flashlamp radiation energy is emitted in the visible and near infrared (IR) ranges, a second sensitizer Cr3+ is introduced into Yb-Er laser glasses to utilize this energy.Flash lamp pumped Er:Glass laser rangefinder modules usually are embeded into sighting system of main battle tanks,APC(armoured personnel carriers) and warships etc..

Co:spinel passive Q-switch crystal,narrow band filter@1535nm,T>90%  can be supplied as required,laser rods/slabs made of this Er:Glass are mostly  for repairing old  type flash(Xenon) lamp pumped laser transceivers embeded into land military vehicles made in ealier years as the repalcement of original ones.

OEM cylinderal/square rods,slabs,plates,discs for laser gain media,PCF(Photonic Crystal Fiber),waveguide fabrications can be customised as drawings required.
